VI Placement Terms and Agreements A dog can live 12–18 years. Absinthe has a strict policy of not placing puppies in situations where the puppy is a gift (of any nature or occasion) for someone other than the person making the application. Please submit this application only if you are the intended prospective owner. * Absinthe does not sell puppies intended for breeding. All puppies are sold with a strict spay/neuter contract. Absinthe is a member in good standing of this organization. It is a requirement that all our "forever families" become members of the BHCA for one year at the time of acquisition. We will not place a puppy in a forever home without this membership. We require, by contract, that should you be unable, for any reason, to provide a continued home for this dog, you contact us immediately so that we may assist you in rehoming your dog. Should you have no options (you may not resell), you are required to return the dog to us at no cost to us. We continue to collect background information on our prospective puppy buyers up until that time. Should negative or concerning information be obtained regarding your particular circumstance, and we find that we cannot place a puppy in your home, Absinthe will provide a full refund of the $250.00 deposit. * We have formed a family group on Facebook for all the current and waiting families we have for our dogs. It is truly a fun and safe space created exclusively for folks who have already acquired a dog from us or who are on a current waitlist.
